Top Things To Do Whilst You're Staying At Home

As we are now in our third lockdown, it's starting to get a little dull. After watching all the shows available on Netflix, Amazon Prime and Disney Plus and managing to going on every single walking path within a 50 mile radius, we wanted to share our suggestions on things you might want to do during this time you're at home:

Self Care

Use this time to look after yourself and engage in self care! Before now your life may have been very full and hectic with work, school, exams, or even just life in general. It is therefore a great opportunity for you to take some time to look after your body, mind and soul by doing something that you love!

Educate Yourself About The World Around You

What good things are happening in the world? What could you do to live a better life? Why not use this time to educate yourself about the world around you. You can research what good things are happening in the world, we recommend checking out BBC inspiring stories! Or even research into what you could do to live your life a little better, such as increasing your understanding of recycling or start growing some of your own herbs and plants!

Connect With Old Connections

Use this time to connect with old connections, why not drop an old friend a message and arrange a time to talk over the phone!

Take Time To Do Things You Wouldn't Normally Do

Use this time to do things that you wouldn't normally do or get the time to do. For example you could find old photos, games, books, hobbies or anything that will put a smile on your face. Now is the time to remember and live for the good things in life.

Create A Five Year Plan

Why not try to create a five year plan? Where do you see yourself in five years and what steps do you plan on taking to make that happen? It doesn't have to be five years, but maybe even five weeks! Your plans can always change as you grow and develop in your life, but the key message is it's great to have something to aim for as it'll give you a sense of direction.

Learn Something New

Why not try learning something new? There are some awesome online tools to help you with this, such as: BBC good foods if you want to learn to cook; Duolingo if you want to learn a language; Udemy if you want to do a qualification or set of lectures on anything you'd like; or even YouTube which has got tutorials for many things like learning an instrument, how to dance or even podcasts like You Belong On The Board.

Update Your CV or LinkedIn

Why not update your CV or LinkedIn? It's always good to reflect on what you've previously done, or to reflect on what you're currently doing as it will help you achieve more in your future! Or if you've already updated your CV, then how about re-designing it with a new template! Then yours will stand out to any recruiter!

We hope that our tips have inspired you to try something new this week! What are your top things to do whilst you're at home?
